Denver International Airport (DEN / KDEN)
Denver, Colorado, Information
Even by American standards, Denver is a young city.
The gold strike that launched it occurred just 140 years ago.
Since 1990 Denver has built a brand-new airport, baseball
stadium, central library, downtown amusement park, and light-rail system.
Denver has long strived to acquire the trappings of a grown-up
metropolis, and the results of those efforts are everywhere to be seen. In
addition to great museums, thriving neighbourhoods, a flourishing arts scene,
and an ethnically diverse population, Denver boasts a happening downtown,
full of restaurants, clubs, boutiques, galleries and packed sidewalks.
The Colorado Railway Museum
A replica of an 1880s-style depot, the museum building houses
thousands of rare old photographs, artefacts and documents illustrating the
colourful histories of the railroads which have served the state for over 125
years.
The museum building, based in exterior design on standard station
construction of the 1880s, houses the largest known collection of historic
records, mementos, artefacts, and pictures of Colorado railroads.

Born in 1846, William F.
Cody experienced the Old West to its fullest.
He herded cattle, worked
on a wagon train, mined for gold, rode in the Pony Express, and scouted for the
Army. His skill as a buffalo hunter gained him the nickname "Buffalo Bill."

Buffalo Bill's Wild West
shows travelled the world leaving a lasting vision of the American West.
